PALMERSTON LAKE MARINA


​BASS DERBY RULES:

The Palmerston Lake Bass Derby is a Catch and Release Derby. ALL Bass presented for Weigh-in will be released back to Palmerston Lake by the Tournament Officials.
Entry Fees:         Youth (Under 14 years Old) Entry Fee:   Free must be registered

Adults,  $100 Per Boat     Derby Ticket and Steak Dinner (Sat Night) for two adults

Extra Dinner tickets only $20 for Tournament Guests.

The Derby Date:    
All Derby participants shall have a valid Ontario Fishing License and agree to abide by all Provincial fishing and Boating Regulations.
Fishing boundaries include Palmerston Lake only. Adults will be permitted to fish any area on Palmerston Lake except the Bay area adjacent to the Marina.
Any Adult participant who fishes in the bay shall be disqualified from the Derby.
Youth participants shall be permitted to fish in the Bay Area.
The winners in the youth division will be based on the total weigh of a maximum of 4 fish.
The winners of the adult division shall be determined on a PER BOAT Basis.
A Maximum of 2 adult only shall be permitted in the boat at any time.
All boat entries must declare the names of the adults in the boat prior to 7pm Friday June 16th.
Any Boat not having the declared Adult people in the boat during the derby shall be disqualified.
Each boat shall be permitted to weigh in a maximum total of eight (8) bass. The winners will be determined by the total weight of the bass weighed in.
Any boat weighing in a bass less than One (1) pound shall be awarded a Two (2) pound penalty.
If a tie in Total winning weight occurs the Winner will be determined by the participants heaviest fish weighed in for the tournament.
All weigh-in shall be conducted at the Double S Sports and Marina.
Weigh-ins shall be conducted during the following hours:  

Saturday June      7am to 5pm

The decision of the Tournaments Officials shall be considered final in all respects.
All Bass must be alive at the time of weigh-in.  A live well or the use of an aerator is highly recommended.
A Two (2) lb penalty shall be applied to any participant who presents a dead bass for weigh-in.
Prize Presentation shall begin at 1pm beginning with the youth followed by the adult division.
